After her husband talked to several/a lot of locals, her purse was returned-all intact! Keeping my prayers going and my fingers crossed this will also happen for you. In the meantime, kick back, have a cold cerveza and be thankful that this is the worst thing that happened and think of all the memories you are making!! Thank goodness your mom thought of everything and your new VISA is on its way! Aren't moms GREAT?!! :o) As you mentioned, the positive in this is that so many people were willing to help you try to find that crazy bus. When you made the Dobby reference, I couldn't help but picture the crazy bus scene from one of the Harry Potter movies. If the bus you were on was moving anything like the Harry Potter bus, I would have left my travel bag behind, too! As I typed that, I was trying to picture Dobby and Harry speaking Spanish instead of speaking with a British accent, but that didn't work too well... :o) Salsa lessons sound great, but being able to test your skills in a local club/dance environment sounds even better! It will be so much fun! I am sorry to hear that your back is acting up a bit. That can be so miserable. I hope that you start to feel better soon. You and the other students are in my prayers.
